Challenge 32: Summer Swap: Sarah Carr to Guest Artist Julia Lavigne
I’m filling in for Casey this month! Happy I got to take Sarah’s beautiful sketch to final, this was so much fun :)
Happy Summer!
I’m a quest artist this month over at Square Carousel! I got to work with Sarah Carr’s sketch at the bottom—I love how sporty this one came out!
Thanks to the collective and to Casey for contacting me to fill in for him. I admire all the talented artists apart of Square Carousel, it was an honor :)

Today is my last day of classes as an undergrad. I’m graduating with my BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design this weekend!
Leaving home and going to SCAD was very challenging for me on so many levels, in the end I don’t regret my decision for a second. I’m especially thankful and blessed to come out of the illustration department here. I tweet and post about how much this department and professors mean to me, there are no words left— they are simply the best of the best!
Thank you to everyone who showed me continuous love and support these past four years and congratulations SCAD Class of 2013!

Adventures in my first grade class and in babysitting.
I watched the interaction in the first comic and it was the best thing that ever happened. He slowly revealed the extra glue bottle from his desk while keeping this intense eye contact. It was amazing.
zetus lapetus!
when Zenon first came out on Disney channel I was OBSESSED. I stole one of my mother’s earrings that was circular and metallic looking just so I could have a microchip earring.
Any followers that live in the Savannah area are invited to attend a gallery opening tomorrow night at Oglethorpe Gallery!
This is a project I curated with 6 wonderful SCAD illustration seniors, each with a different and unique voice — it will be a great show!
This will also be during the Friday Art March, so it’s a perfect night to gallery hop around downtown historic Savannah :)
See you there and spread the word!
P.S. 300th post!
HIRE ME?
Last weekend was a big weekend for me. First, the long-awaited Girls’ Room group show opening took place Friday at Le Snoot! Thanks to everyone who came out to support us, we had such a good turn out with fun-filled people!

Saturday was the 37th Annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival. I’m getting sentimental (and excited) about my last few weeks here at SCAD, so I decided to chalk up a simple image of a bee ready to graduate:

Until next time!
