Inspired by this Vanity Fair article (and Matisse) I created a double page spread and 2 spot illustrations about simple ways to go green!

Getting ready for Women’s History Month next March, here are some famous ladies in science: Marie Curie, Rachel Carson, Jane Goodall, Florence Nightingale.
I’ll continue to post more of this project next month :)

A project for Motion Media Techniques I with Mr. Min Ho Shin.
I decided to do a self promotional video for myself as an artist.
I’m actually pretty happy with how this one came out :)
Music: Inaugural Pop Music for Jane Margaret Byrne by Sufjan Stevens
Illustration I did for The Bygone Bureau! (I worked both comps, but only the top one was used)
The piece was called “The Very Last Time Ever” By Tyler Magyar
Check it out at bygonebureau.com!
Art Direction by Hallie Bateman (Thank you!)
Dammit, Todd. You had ONE JOB.
THE WEATHER WIZARD! The “kiddo” drawing isn’t mine, it is actually a drawing one of my students at Garrison Elementary made for me! I love that she’s riding a unicycle as she casts her spells. :)

First piece for the new collective I’m in! My fellow illustration scaddie Jessica Roux started up QUICK DRAW COLLECTIVE which will showcase 13 very talented illustrators every month as we illustrate around a theme. This month we were asked to recreate a work of art from our childhood. Follow us! :)

Can I have it?
Currently loving Of a Kind! I want about everything they sell, and I am going nuts over their blog. These are not my designs, I just painted them because I don’t have enough money to actually buy them…#pathetic. If you haven’t noticed… I’m kind of getting a kick out of painting clothes at the moment.
Also, there was a french bulldog tank in the world and I had no idea!!!
Started out as “8 Cacti” for my very first SUPER LIST SATURDAY but then I realized there were more than 8… because I painted them in groups, and I also realized I liked them grouped more than displayed as a list.
Maybe next week, Kenton!
Because tumblr needs more pink girls with red hair against a violet flower background.
I don’t care! Look at me not caring!
#trendy
Here it is! ”Frizzante Limoncello Soda”… I would personally love some right now! Too bad it’s a made up product.
This was a totally different project from what I’m used to, it was quite a challenge but I handled it well, I think. Some areas of my project are overdesigned… but nobody said design was easy! I still really like my topiary figures :)
Here’s the front cover of my book design for Alice Sebold’s novel The Lovely Bones.
I’m just too darn happy with how it came out, I had to at least post the front design! I’ll post my process and the back design in a few days, I have to tweak some things in indesign.
Also, thanks to everybody with all the feedback with my type last week! Ya’ll helped a lot. <3
